Sunday Funday December 2022

Prayers and Praises

It was a full December, as Decembers mostly are. My amazing artist friend put on an incredible art show, our church had the annual Babuska tea which means so much to me. We were given tickets to the Nutcracker (it was all of our first time!), and Sofia had a cool STEM presentation at her school. Jessica turned 5 (she is getting so big!) and we had a lovely party before everyone finishing up the school semester and heading to our annual Madison family trip.

It was, unfortunately, it was the same days as the below zero days, but the roads were fine, and our cars were faithful. I’ve just been hit over and over this season what a blessing and gift it is that we are all here, able to relax, and not busy grieving the loss of someone. I know that won’t be true every year, but for this year it was. Actual Christmas day was spent opening presents, talking with family, and watching Christmas movies (and napping). It was a white Christmas, but it had been so cold when it snowed, that the beauty wasn’t as noticable.

It was nomansland between Christmas and New Years, as usual, but was full of special family time that I am working to recognize as the most important things. I was also able to redo the basement and clean out my house, which made me very happy indeed.
