Sunday Funday November 2022

Prayer and Praises

It was a wonderful busy month of celebrations and family and joy! We were thankful for the beautiful fall days that continued—and then the first snow November 12. We got to celebrate my sister’s birthday, and then the next day, Sofia’s baptism. It was such a special moment with family and our church family. We are so grateful to make a video of Sofia sharing her testimony, and all of the amazing family conversations we had before the baptism about understanding and being clear about what we believe and why.

Caid and I feel so honored to be Sofia’s parents. We went back and forth a bit about if it was a good idea for her to be baptized so young, but in the end, it was the simple “Let the children come unto me,” that kept ringing in our ears as she continued to insist this is what she wanted to do. We hope that with the video, it will be something she will be able to look back at as an ebenezer stone as she continues to grow and understand her relationship with God.

We were able to take the girls to their first REAL concert with Maverick City Music and Kirk Franklin, and see an amazing performance of Beauty and the Beast with our godkids as Lefou, the wolf pack leader, and village girl:). Caid and I celebrated 9 years of marriage on November 9. We both felt loved and seen and awed at how God works through the gift of marriage.

Caid’s niece Thalia visited us and we had Thalia Thanksgiving at our house (no Turkey, just Ham), and then we spent actual Thanksgiving Day at our friends in Illinois, watching Brazil win their World Cup match. It was a time of rest, relaxation, and encouragement that our hearts needed. We are so grateful!
