SunFun February 2023

Prayers and Praises

January took forever, February looked like it would take forever and then ended all sneakily. We enjoyed lots of game days with friends, and getting to celebrate a dear friend turning 40. We all enjoyed Sofia’s school Valentine’s Day family dance, as well as her choir performance for the African American History night. We are so grateful for community! And Sofia seems to be getting over her “I’m shy” thing (that we knew wasn’t true anyway).

Jessica is still asking when she will get to go to school (the answer is still August). Caid is getting ready for his birthday in March, and we’ve all enjoyed the “fake spring” days that are full of sunshine and promise. Even if we know they won’t last. I have been struggling with some health issues for a couple months now, and they aren’t super serious or pressing, but disturbing enough to have me a bit nervous. Now I am waiting on referrals and all that fun stuff.

I’ve been working on projects, and was excited to have my ADVENT/LENT book to share…although that mostly just made me want to tweek it more! Eventually, I will have it just like I want it. At World Renewal we are preparing for the big summer trips to celebrate 30 years of serving in Brazil. I am really excited about the new training book we have, and the new PDFs we have for helping kids connect to missions through holidays. It’s been really neat to work on these projects.
