September SunFun

What? I am actually caught up on videos? It’s been awhile:)

Praise and Prayers

We are enjoying the weather, how about you? I’ve never really liked Fall, as it is all of the plants/leaves dying and always reminding me that Summer is ending (Summer is my favorite), but these weekends have been perfect and are making me change my mind. We started back up small group Bible Study, and it is going well. I finished a new book for the kids to use on Wednesday night (mostly just my girls, but we did have another kid come last week!), and they’re working well (I will post it in the Freebies section soon). We enjoyed the Bate-Hendrick’s Street Fest (our second year with Caid on the main stage and I had a booth). Having Uncle Loren and Aunt Carol join in for Grandparent’s day at school and Taco Tuesday and Cabin Camping was all special. For the girls, it is like getting another set of grandparents, and I am here for it! My grandparents were so influential in my life growing up.

Jessica and I got sick one week of September, and then Sofia got sick the next week, but Caid has managed to stay out of that mess so far. I think it was just the “Around lots of kids at school germs” or the “Changing of the weather” cold. Who knows. But it wasn’t Covid. I have enough tests given to me to just always check. Caid is loving his Symphonic Choir, and getting ready for his first performance with them on October 14. Now I understand why Ticketmaster is such an issue, since I had to use them to buy tickets…what???

I am super excited to be a part of my friend Erica’s board for a special event in December to raise funds for scholarships for black students to go to HBCUs and trade schools. It is really neat to see how she has grown and has such a talent for art and passion for making a difference! I am at my busiest time at work as we get ready for our very first Mission’s Fair to go along with our annual Mission’s Celebration on October 18. And you are totally invited—please come! Thank you for following along with our life and adventures.
