August Sunfun
Praises & Prayers
August is my favorite month! Not only is it my birthday, but it is getting back into things with school and schedule, the weather is warm and sunny, and the mornings are still light. AND THE GARDEN! I’ve only been successful in three things: tomatoes, basil, and grapes, but what more do you need? It was the month of floating down sugar creek, Sofia’s first 5k (34 minutes!), and a smooth back to school for both Caid and the girls.
Caid is the assistant coach for soccer, and is enjoying it (for the most part). The girls and I have enjoyed bringing books and reading while we “watch” the games. The State Fair is always everyone’s favorite, but everything was like $2 more than last year (entrance fees, kettle corn, turkey legs…). Anna went all in and bought those dips they always sell (with the pretzle stick free samples), and we’ve been enjoying them as a pre-Taco Tuesday treat. Our whole family can bike ride, and we’ve enjoyed rides down to our local bubble tea place, where they also have a pool and foosball table. All important things to learn growing up! It is a lovely season, and we are enjoying it!
