Extraordinary

How the gray would take over

How our group would dwindle

We thought we could make it last forever

We thought we were extraordinary

But people aren’t exraordinary

Grabbing the edges that keep falling into ordinary

Their greatest fear

Falling down with the rest of us

I am learning to be okay

With my ordinary life

To be faithful and honest with what I have and who I am

To build relationships and systems that grow into something

Greater than I am alone

Into something extraordinary

Where extraordinary moments can be shared

and let go

and appriciated

for the breathtaking beauty and brevity

That they are
